Cash and shift reconciliation
Cash and shift reconciliation that shows where the money went
Close every shift knowing whether the cash is right, and who to ask if it is not.
Problems it solves
The till is short
And nobody can say on which shift, or with whom, it went missing.
Counts on scraps of paper
End-of-day totals that cannot be checked later.
Trust needs you at the counter
Owners feel they must be present to believe the count.
How it works
Each shift starts with a recorded opening float. As the shift runs, NexaPOS works out the cash the till should hold.
At closing, the cashier counts the cash and NexaPOS compares it with the expected amount. Any variance is recorded against that shift and that person, and managers can review shifts across the team without standing at the counter.

One shift, opening to close
Step 1: The cashier opens a shift and records the opening float.
Step 2: Sales during the shift build up the expected cash.
Step 3: At close, the cashier counts the cash in the till.
Step 4: NexaPOS shows the difference between expected and counted cash.
Step 5: A manager reviews the shift and follows up any variance.

Common questions
What happens when the cash does not match?
The difference is recorded as a variance on that shift and person, so a manager can see it and follow up.
